Why underwrite WRPO/WOHP Programming?
WRPO is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to operate in the Indian Lake Region as a non-commercial radio station. ..similar to affiliates of NPR (WYSO,WOSU,WGTE and WGLE) and PBS (WPTD/WPTO,WOSU-TV,WBGU-TV) We get NO government support. We have to support ourselves with donations and underwriting from our listeners. (like yourself.) We too have bills to pay along with music licensing fees,phone bills,electric,and other obligations as any commercial radio station would have.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We offer our residents and visitors(our listeners) in the Indian Lake Area an opporitunity. To be a supporter we ask for a donation of $100 a year.
WHAT YOU GET
For your member support you will receive at lease three short agknoledgements on the air each day FOR A FULL YEAR. We currently take breif pauses for supporter and underwriter announcements at approximately ten minutes before the hour and twenty minutes past the hour. We also aIr local public service announcements at these times....and then it's back to continuous music.

This is only a sample. You may word the message any way you'd like. perhaps as a birthday or anniversary greeting or as a memorial to a loved one.
Since we are a nonprofit station you may be able to show this as a charitable donation on your tax returns. Please check with your tax consultant.
